Our 3v3 Phase 1 program consists of 5 sessions of small-area hockey games, to be played at Hoist Hockey on their purpose built 3v3 rink. The games will be facilitated by an on ice coach and the focus will be on continued game play with maximum ice time and puck touches. Scores will be kept by the bench coaches.

There will be 2 separate invite divisions, Peewee/12U and Squirt/10U. The Invite Division is more competitive than our open division and is for players who are expecting to be AA/A players next year. The divisions are based on the player's 2024-2025 level.

There will be 5 separate Open Divisions, Bantam/14U will be for players born between June 1st, 2009 and May 31st, 2011. Peewees/12U will be for players born between June 1st, 2011 and May 31st, 2013. Squirts/10U will be for players born between June 1st, 2013 and May 31, 2015. Mites/8U will be for players born between June 1st, 2015 and May 31st, 2017. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis for kids playing below/above their birthyear level.

Players are allowed to register and play for 1 Invite and 1 Open Division team. Players cannot be double rostered on teams within the same division. Any coach/manager can register a team and bring a roster of 9 skaters and a goalie for the appropriate division. Teams with unfilled roster spots will utilize players from the free agent list until their roster is full. To create a team, an adult must first volunteer as the head coach and name the team during registration. To add players to your team, coaches should go to their team's homepage in the team directory, then while logged in click on the "Roster" tab, then click the blue button labeled "Manage Roster Invites," which will allow you to send email invites and see the team code, which can be sent via text to parents in lieu of an email. There is also the option for players to sign up as free agents for both divisions. Please note, registering as a free agent for the Invite Division does not guarantee a roster spot, but Fargo Grinders will do our best to place all free agents on a team, if possible. Any free agent that registers for the Open Division will be placed on a team. If there is not a roster spot for an Invite free agent, we will offer them a spot in the Open Division. Registered teams are subject to review by Fargo Grinders Hockey Club staff.

Players will be expected to provide their own jerseys, the first team listed on the schedule will be the "home" team and will wear a light colored jersey, the second team listed on the schedule will be the "away" team and will wear a dark colored jersey.

The 1st Year Mite/8U Division will play one game per week on Tuesdays or Thursdays, varies by week.

The Squirt Invite Division will play one game per week on Tuesday nights.

The Squirt Open Division will play one game per week on Thursday nights.

The Peewee Invite Division will play one game per week on Monday nights.

The Peewee Open Division will play one game per week on Wednesday nights.

The Bantam/14U Open Division will play one game per week when ice availability allows, varies by week.
